Russia and the Caucasus programme aims to promote human rights; to support the development of a multi-ethnic, democratic society; and to promote regional dialogue, conciliation and stability.
Since the early 1990s European Dialogue has supported and worked in partnership with civil society in the Caucasus region. More recently, from 2003, European Dialogue implemented the project, Ethnic Minorities and Access to Justice in the Russian Federation. This successfully brought together, for the first time, police and ethnic minority groups to work constructively to improve relations.
